Nathan Way Physiotherapist 1

Nathan Way

Physiotherapist (Life Westville Hospital)

As someone who participated in a variety of sports at school, I developed a keen interest in Sports Physiotherapy, particularly in the recovery and prevention of injuries. This led me to study Physiotherapy at UKZN, where I gained experience working at many sporting events such as the Comrades Marathon, the Midmar Mile and Iron Man. Aside from sports, I also gained experience working in a variety of hospital settings and developed a passion for helping patients return to their best after surgery, whether they’re returning to sport, work, or even their simple every day activities.

I qualified from UKZN in 2019, and have since started working with an amateur football club as their Team Physio, and I’ve completed a variety of courses in Sports Physiotherapy and Post-Operative Recovery.

I have been in practice for 28 years. I have a strong background in hockey and roadrunning. I have worked at the Comrades and have developed special interest in post operative orthopaedic rehabilitation.

My focus is on early independence and return to work and sport. This is achieved by customising treatment plans and exercise prescription with attention to the requirements of each individual. I am currently completing my Masters degree in Lymphedema.
