A fellowship is intense 1 year training programme whereby an orthopaedic surgeon sub-specialiises by focusing on a certain discipline in orthopaedic surgery or part of the body
Dr Manjra maintains a general orthopaedic practice with a focus on the management of hip and knee arthritis, including the the use of the minimally invasive Direct Anterior Approach (DAA) for total hip replacement (arthroplasty), joint preservation and reconstructive options options for younger patients, sports injuries and trauma.
During his training Dr Manjra has participated in several research studies related to orthopaedic trauma and joint replacement surgery and has received numerous awards both locally and internationally. He has published papers in both local and international peer reviewed journals in the fields of orthopaedic trauma and joint replacement surgery.
When he is not working, Dr Manjra maximises time with his family and can commonly be found on the weekend onboard a bike or board on the Durban beachfront or a mountain bike trail.
